What do you need to play?
Open today’s challenge on your phone or computer. You do not need an account or app download. An internet connection loads the question and destination information. The photograph stays hidden until the reveal.
How do you answer the daily question?
- Read the question. Look for the geographic detail that distinguishes the place.
- Choose one of four answers. You can change your selection before submitting.
- Select “Lock in answer.” The choices lock and the correct answer is highlighted.
- Read the explanation. Find out which detail connects the question to the answer.
- Select “Reveal the place.” See the destination photograph, country, continent, and story.
Getting a question wrong does not block the reveal. Every round ends with somewhere to discover.
Is it the same question as the app?
Yes. The browser and iPhone app use the same daily place rotation, authored question, answer choices, and correct answer for the same local calendar date. If a place has no authored question, both use the same country-based fallback question.
People in time zones with different local dates can see different daily challenges. Matching content does not mean progress transfers between the browser and the app; the browser does not create a shared account.
What happens after the reveal?
Read the place’s story and memorable fact. Try saying the place and country together before moving on. Use the result’s share button to invite a friend to the challenge without naming the destination in the generated message.
The daily browser question is free. The iPhone app adds your Passport and more ways to explore, with an optional Terravel+ subscription.
Where is the map game?
Map play is a separate activity. Open the Map Pin Challenge to identify the country containing a marked location. It does not replace the daily question.
